Standard containers have floor load ratings of 4,500-5,500 kg/m². Exceeding these limits requires load-spreading equipment. Always document load distribution with photos and weight calculations.

Containers must withstand a load in the lengthwise direction which corresponds to external acceleration of 2 g acting horizontally on the floor fastening elements.

The weight in your container should be distributed with approximately 60% toward the front and 40% toward the rear. Tip: For a 40ft container, aim to position heavier items in the front half, but avoid concentrating all weight at the very front. Keep the center of gravity as low and centered as possible. This improves stability during transport.
