Once more, match the polarity. The positive wire goes to the positive solar panel terminal, and the negative wire connects to the negative terminal.
For example, a solar setup without a charge controller may lead to battery damage, leading to costly replacements. When choosing a charge controller, consider its type, such as PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) or MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking), as each has unique benefits based on your energy needs.
Charge controllers protect your battery system from overcharging, depth of discharge, and voltage fluctuations. By doing so, they extend battery life and improve overall system efficiency. For example, a solar setup without a charge controller may lead to battery damage, leading to costly replacements.
