The costs of materials, equipment, facilities, energy, and labor associated with each step in the production process are individually modeled. Input data for this analysis method are collected through primary interviews with PV manufacturers and material and equipment suppliers.

The aluminum rails and module clamps are imported from China and subject to 25% tariff. Each module is paired with a microinverter rated at 330 W ac, giving the PV system a rated AC power output of 6.6 kW ac, which corresponds to an inverter loading ratio of 1.22.

In PV product markets, price reductions often accompany decreases in production costs and the accumulation of production experience. The market potential model helps analyze and predict the impact of long-term price trends on market expansion.

Figure 4 presents PV module prices in various countries under global and national scenarios from 2024 to 2030. In the 2030 global scenario, PV module prices are projected to be 0.14 USD/W in the United States, 0.61CNY/W in China, 0.09 EUR/W in the EU, and 23.97 JPY/W in Japan.
